Almost Everyone

2018 • WORKS

My artistic research program entitled Adattér ("Data space") looks at the data as a creative material and investigates the possibilities of spatial data-visualization: how to communicate the information and to talk about social issues through a bodily experience.

The Majdnem mindenki/Almost Everyone project reflects on the current situation of childbirth in Hungary. According to the official data* of between 2012 and 2016, 77% of all deliveries were subjected to cut-off interventions. The data on which the installation is based counts with the episiotomy and the cesarian rates and excludes other types of medical or phisical interventions.

The project is connected to my doctoral research program at the MOME Doctoral School and supported by the ÚNKP-17-3 through the New National Excellence Program of the Ministry of Human Capacities.
